1 Lombard Street Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie has teamed up with Jazz FM Live to create a unique supper club experience in the heart of the city, with intimate performances by a host of world-class jazz musicians. From September 2010, well known artists will entertain diners on Saturday nights, with music taken from the much-loved ‘Great American Song Book’. Customers will also enjoy a seasonal themed menu from chef Herbert Berger.
Leading vocalist Anita Wardell will open the line up on Saturday 4th September, with music from the American song-writing duo Rogers and Hammerstein. The Alex Garnett Quartet will follow on Saturday 11th September, with their dedication to the fabulous George Gershwin.
John Critchinson, one of the most revered pianists in the history of British Jazz, will head up his eponymous trio on Saturday 25th September, with the wonderful music of Cole Porter, while sensational male vocalist Atila, will entertain diners with songs from the legendary Johnny Mercer on Saturday 2nd October.
The stunning Grade II listed surroundings of 1 Lombard Street will be the perfect setting for the eagerly anticipated performances. The City favourite attracts Londoners from all over the capital, with its celebrated European cuisine. Customers will be able to choose from the à la Carte or the ‘Jazz’ set menu (3 courses for £21.50).
