The Variety Club, the UK’s oldest children’s charity for sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and renowned for its strong links with the showbiz world, will be holding its annual star-studded, Showbiz Awards amid the grandiose of The Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane, on Sunday 15th November, 6pm to 11pm.
This glittering, red carpet awards ceremony will be graced by an array of international A-list celebrities, industry stalwarts and kingpins, as well as personalities from the fields of film, TV, comedy, theatre, pop and classical music.
Previous award winners include: Al Pacino, Keira Knightley, Jude Law, James McAvoy, Ann Marie Duff, Kenneth Brannagh, Ricky Gervais, Sir Michael Caine, Stephen Fry, Mitchell and Webb, Alan Carr, Michael Parkinson, Dame Helen Mirren and Sir Ben Kingsley to name a few.
This annual industry awards show, now in its 57th year, raises funds for The Variety Club Children’s Charity, this year celebrating its Diamond Jubilee. The Variety Club has raised over £200 million since its inception and improved the lives of more than a million children and young people. The charity provides Sunshine Coaches, electric wheelchairs, outings to exciting places, equipment for children’s hospitals and life enhancing equipment.
