On 31st May, Regent Street will be transformed into a grand showcase of Spanish culture for the annual Taste of Spain festival. There will be regional food tastings, including two giant paellas, as well as flamenco dancers, traditional folk dancing and dancing horses, an art display and activities for children.
Bentley’s, one of London’s premier seafood restaurants since 1916, now run by Irish chef Richard Corrigan, is joining the celebrations with an offer of six Maldon Rock oysters with a glass of Spanish Albarino for £9.50.
Situated at the southern end of Regent Street, on the borders of Soho and Mayfair, Bentley’s provides a classy respite away from the hubbub of the festival. Guests can sit at the marble-topped bar to watch the oyster shuckers at work, or relax in the red leather banquettes.
The Grill, located on the first floor is divided into several smaller rooms decorated with William Morris designs. There is also an alfresco dining area, outside on traffic-free Swallow Street.
