Tailoring Patterns as Art

If you’ve visited our tailoring house on Elder Street recently, you might have noticed the beautiful hand-crafted skull made from paper patterns we have exhibited there. The artist is the brilliant Hormazd Narielwalla, who’s just been chosen by the Crafts Council to exhibit in the Project Space at COLLECT at the Saatchi Gallery between 10 – 13 May, which follows his current residency at the Margaret Street Gallery. Hormazd, who’s made a name for himself creating works of art using bespoke suit patterns of customers who are now deceased, will exhibit these brilliant paper sculptures created from military tailoring patterns.

See www.collect2013.org.uk and narielwalla.com for more information on the exhibition and his residency.
