Since its launch in 2006, SHOWstudio’s “The Sound of Clothes” audio initiative has presented a series of fashion films exploring the sound generated by garments themselves.
The latest instalment focuses on the making of four LFW SS14 collections by designers Mary Katrantzou, Sibling, Piers Atkinson and Matthew Williamson.
Editing and remixing noises such as pattern cutting, tearing fabric, sewing machines in action, models heels walking and zips being fastened, fusing both original and distorted sounds – the result is a clever mix of unique and eclectic music tracks which capture the diversity of design.
