Spatisserie at The Dorchester

For the ultimate pampering day and an afternoon of sheer decadence, book your mother her favourite treatment at The Dorchester Spa, followed by the Spatisserie Champagne tea (£51) all to be enjoyed in a white fluffy robe! We both opted for Dorchester Manicures (from £60); 55 minutes of exfoliating, buffing, shaping and polishing, not to mention an ultra-relaxing age-defying hand massage, all of which left us feeling terribly lady-like and fully prepared for sipping a glass of chilled bubbly and nibbling dainty finger sandwiches and miniature scones! A unique concept, designed with the ethos that, “A little of what you love is good for you”, the spa is exquisitely styled with a nod to the glamour of the 1930s and is an informal yet chic environment, perfect for recharging your batteries. The Spa and Spatisserie, which offers an oasis of calm on Park Lane,  is open 7 days a week for treatments, light lunches, and heavenly afternoon tea and cocktails. It’s the perfect Mother’s Day experience for mums and daughters and almost justifies having gone through labour! For more information, visit the website.

Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Sunday Lunch

If your mother can usually be found cooking the family Sunday roast, why not spoil her by giving her a day off? This Mother’s Day, two of Britain’s leading jazz vocalists, Todd Gordon and Tina May, will present a stylish, sophisticated and fun tribute to Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, featuring timeless songs such as Manhattan, Lady Is a Tramp, and Evʼry Time We Say Goodbye. Tickets from £15.00. Doors open midday followed by the main act from 1pm-3pm, including an interval. Order from the Sunday lunch menu on arrival. For more information and tickets visit the website.

A special Mothering Sunday version of their Truffle Rolling Workshop, suitable for mums and children 8 years and older. You will be given an introduction to making truffles and working with chocolate. They will then guide you through a chocolate tasting (yes please!) so you know what to look for when making your own.
