Breakfast with Charles

Aah, breakfast. Is there a better meal? Particularly breakfast at the weekend, eh? In this world of pop-ups, why anyone hasn’t thought of this before is anyone’s guess, but one chap who’s pioneering the concept of a breakfast ‘pop-up’ in London is Charlie Hall. Following a run of successful events in 2013, Breakfast with Charles is returning to the Rooftop Cafe in London Bridge to bring you another innovative tasting brunch menu on Sunday 16 March.

Breakfast with Charles

With a welcome drink, breakfast canapés that include homemade granola with a rhubarb and gin (daring, indeed) compote and a mini shakshouka, they’re knocking up a three-course tasting brunch menu from the best seasonal produce around. Featuring scallop kedgeree and salt beef hash with an ‘hour long’ egg, surely this is breakfast gone supersonic. And if tipples are your fancy, they’ve a cocktail and wine list from the Rooftop Café’s renowned drinks menu. Perfect to chase away the Sunday blues.

Two sittings are available, at 11.30am and 2.30pm, tickets are priced at £30 + booking fee and are selling fast. Tickets are available now through Eventbrite.

And if you’re not able to make the 16th, fear not, there are another six events lined up at the Rooftop Cafe over the next six months, dates to be released soon. And with no two menus the same, you might be tempted to try all six…
