This autumn, Claude Bosi welcomes celebrated chefs to Brooklands at The Peninsula London for a series of one-night-only dinners showcasing innovation, collaboration and exceptional cuisine…
With a summer of heatwaves, autumn has felt a long way off. But Claude & Co at Brooklands might just make you wish the leaves on the trees lining your walk through London’s Hyde Park were already turning red, gold and brown.
Collaborations are everywhere. We love how individual talents come together to create something fresh and exciting. Think Stella McCartney joining forces with Taylor Swift on a fashion line, Warhol teaming up with Basquiat on those striking canvases and who could forget Amy Winehouse crooning alongside Tony Bennett at Abbey Road Studios? If food be thy art, these dinners are the edible equivalent.
Now Chef Director Claude Bosi is bringing some of his most celebrated contemporaries and friends to The Peninsula London’s rooftop restaurant for a series of one-night-only dinners. Together they’ll cook alongside him, crafting exclusive menus and an unforgettable dining experience.
Each dinner is centred around a shared vision and the finest seasonal ingredients, offering a rare chance to watch Michelin-starred talent at work, each bringing their own style, ideas and flavour to the table.
The series opens on 16th September with Bosi joined by Thomas Straker, whose CV runs from The Dorchester to Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, and now his Notting Hill restaurant, STRAKER’S. Known for his simple seasonal cooking and social media presence, Straker has become a rising name in modern British food. Together they’ll serve a six-course tasting menu celebrating British game at its seasonal best.
On 2nd October, three-Michelin-starred Norbert Niederkofler joins the Brooklands kitchen. Based in the Italian Dolomites, he draws on sustainability, biodiversity and seasonality to create dishes deeply rooted in his Alpine surroundings, reimagined here with the best of British produce.
The series rounds off on 11th November with Sven Wassmer, Switzerland’s youngest three-Michelin-starred chef and a Green Star holder. His style is influenced by the Swiss Alps, emphasising delicate, refined flavours and a minimalist touch. Paired with Bosi’s cooking, the result promises a menu of perfectly balanced dishes.
Each evening begins with Deutz Champagne and canapés in an intimate setting, with wine pairings chosen by The Peninsula London’s Director of Wine, Melody Wong.
And then there’s Brooklands itself. Part restaurant, part museum, it’s named after the legendary Surrey racetrack and celebrates the golden age of British aviation and motorsport. Original artefacts are dotted throughout the space, from a Napier Railton race car glinting under the lights to a Concorde model suspended from the ceiling. Even the dining furniture is made up of replica pieces from the original Concorde lounge.
Add the kitchen’s creative energy, and Claude & Co at Brooklands becomes more than a dinner series. It’s a chance to savour world-class cooking in one of London’s most distinctive dining rooms, where the only turbulence comes from deciding which of these unique collaborations to try.
